St John's has a real heart for charities, missions and projects in our local and worldwide community. We don’t do everything ourselves but as part of Christ’s body we can keep contact with, promote and pray for many organisations, thus supporting what they do on our behalf. On the Missions board in church we feature charities, missions and projects that we support as a church for one year.
Mission of the Month: Just Earth
Just Earth partners with local churches and small-holder farmers and sees transformation in rural African communities in Kenya, DRC and Uganda. The Charity runs many Farmers’ Field Schools which are a unique form of education that doesn’t just centre around growing more food, but seeks to create change in the lives of farmer members, their families and wider communities. This summer St John’s Fareham is sending a team to Kenya to assist Just Earth in running a conference designed to set the charity up for further projects into the future.
The charities, missions and projects that St John’s will be supporting as Mission of the Month in 2026 are:
