This page covers accessibility for both the church and the church hall. At St Johns we strive to ensure everyone is welcomed and included. The following provides information on current accessibility provision. However, this is not exhaustive, and we continually look at ways to improve and welcome contact for specific requirements.
Please contact us if you have any queries or requests via the Church Office email.
Church
Access
The church has ramp access at the front and the back of the building

Accessible Parking is marked and available
- 1 space at the front of the church
- 1 space in the entrance to the main car park

The main doors to the church are not automatic but are staffed at service times, to be opened for all individuals and wide enough for mobility scooters etc.
The side door at the front of the church is open during office hours and not automatic. A power chair is able to access the doorway, and a buzzer alerts our church administrator who can help with opening and closing.
The church welcome team can assist an individual from the kerb to the door of the church and to their seat if required.

Communion is administered centrally but for those with limited mobility, the communion can be administered at their seat.
Participation

Words for worship are displayed on TV screens around the church.
For those unable to view the screens, service sheets are provided in standard text.
Our service leaders make every effort to use inclusive language e.g. "Please stand if you are able".
