The aim of the project
To support a refugee family to an independent life in the UK This will be achieved by making sure that:
- all the necessary arrangements have been made to ensure that when the family arrives in the UK they will have immediate access to housing, language training, job seeking, education, medical provision.
- that all Home Office, local authority, local council and police approvals for the safety and well-being of the family have been secured.
- all the necessary support is put in place to help the family adapt to life in the UK and to progress to independence
- there are adequate links for the family to people and groups with the same language and cultural background.
How does the scheme work?
