Order of Service
By all means give back to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, but you belong to God so give yourselves fully and completely to him
Opening Song – This is Amazing Grace – Phil Wickham
Matthew 22:15-22 (audio available on webpage link)
Song: Before the throne of God
Sermon: Pay Unto Caesar
Song: Faithful One
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Closing song: There is nothing that our God can’t do(no on screen lyrics)
- Jesus (and Paul) are pretty clear when it comes to obeying the law of the land – (you should, in case you were wondering) but can you think of an example where you feel you should not?
- Part of the problem with saying “all things will end” is that it feels it takes a long time for some of those bad things to end – what should Christians do until the the bad things end?
- What are the challenges and opportunities facing Christians during this time of Coronavirus?
