Brian Powell - Reader
Brian likes to tell stories – the more quirky and wacky the better. However being a Reader, both now in the church and previously at university, does put a constraint on things and compels him to face up to certain realities. Like the joy experienced at the box office when getting concessions just because he’s is of a certain age. Then again there’s discovering that being a grandfather provides the perfect justification for going to pantomimes, theme parks and building sandcastles all over again.
Being retired he’s involved in: walk missions, school assemblies and the training of Readers. When all else fails he goes hill walking, in Shropshire, where the size of the hills ideally suit someone looking for concessions, or he toddles along to the Story Club. So watch out if he’s not told you about the hag in the crag with the steely-eyed grin”…
